Bardel Entertainment Inc. is currently recruiting for the following positions:
3D Layout, Key Posing (Vancouver & Kelowna studios)
Artists with production experience and a strong sense of Cinematography to apply to camera setup and key poses with a technical and artistic attention to detail (Maya)
3D Character Animators (Vancouver studio)
Must have production experience and a strong understanding of traditional animation principles bringing characters to life using motion and emotion. (Maya)
Lighting+Compositing Artists (Vancouver studio)
Must have production proven abilities to combine artistic and technical skills to create and match lighting keys, setup render layers, then efficiently composite the characters, backgrounds and FX (Maya, Mental Ray, VRay, Nuke)
CG Supervisor, Technical Artist (Vancouver studio)
Working to implement and support artist productivity tools in a mixed data and workflow pipeline with (Maya, Mental Ray, VRay, Nuke)
Rigging TD (Vancouver studio)
Must have proven production experience creating and maintaining animator-friendly rigging for classical squash and stretchable characters and props
FX Artists (Vancouver studio)
Must have versatility to create smoke, water, and fire FX in addition to working with semi-dynamic cloth and hair; stereoscopic experience would be an asset
VFX Artists (Vancouver studio)
Must have experience dealing with crowds, as well as narrative and environmental visual effects; stereoscopic experience would be an asset
Production Coordinator (Vancouver Studio)
Must have experience in animated film or TV in addition to strong, diplomatic communication skills. Must be detail oriented and able to visualize the state of the show, create burndown charts, and manage client deliveries using proprietary tracking tools and spreadsheets as part of effective team-wide communication strategies.
Lighting, Composting Lead (Vancouver Studio)
Must combine strong aesthetic principles with technical abilities to efficiently achieve the director’s visual goals while mentoring more junior artists. Abilities to keep workloads well distributed, project completion timelines on track, ensure consistency across the team and be able to proactively communicate both up and downstream are also a key part of this role
Animation Director (feature film)
Successful candidate will ensure that the defined animation style parameters are implemented by the animators and provide concise reviews of submitted material to achieve consistently high-quality character animation. Must have experience in guiding the layout process to help prepare scenes for a smooth animation workflow and work closely with studio director to communicate artistic direction to the team and achieve high-quality results from layout to final comp.
